C.A.S.T. for Kids,
Alabama
On May 3, 2008 the first ever C.A.S.T. for Kids
event in Alabama was held. With 40+ registered
participants attending it was one of the best
C.A.S.T. for Kids events ever. It would not have
been possible without the sponsors, volunteers and
the boaters who donated their time to make this
event a success.
Here is just one of many letters we received from
our last event.
"Thank you
sooo much for making Gabby's day wonderful. She
has episodes of anxiety and depression, pretty
much daily and this was the "smoothest" day she
has had in I couldn't tell you when. Her
self-esteem crashes frequently and you really
gave it a boost. I will never forget and could
never repay you for the kindness and joy you
gave to our special girl. Her diagnoses, which
you were too polite to ask about, are Asperger's
disorder,
Obsessive-compulsive disorder and
bipolar disorder.
She showed us she was different at 15 months
when she was starting to be kicked out of
daycares (climbing over gates, refusing to nap,
rocking and overturning highchairs.) She's made
great strides and I think today helped a good
deal."
Thanks and God Bless you!
